Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Tahnaout – Asni – Imlil Valley 1740m– Aroumd Village 2000m – Possible to hike up to some peak
Departing from Marrakech with Trekking Morocco Mountains Driver and Guide, we take the tarred road towards Imlil. Small villages follow each other in a vast landscape planted with olive trees, separated by a natural border made of prickly pear cactuses. We will enjoy breathtaking views including the snowy summits of the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop in the small mountain village of Aremd. Visiting a traditional Berber Market was one of our highlights, located in Asni & operates on Saturday. Here people come every Saturday to sell their goods and buy their needs. We continue to Imlil valley (64 km from Marrakech) in the Toubkal Massif ) , the highest in North Africa (Toubkal 4167m). , which is known for its walnuts, apples and cherries. From Imlil village we go on a short trek by foot or mule between some berber villages... We shall stop at Aroumd to visit this rather singular village in the Assif Aït Mizane Valley, built seemingly house upon house, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn and vegetables and surrounded by almond and walnut trees
