Itinerary
- Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Dades Gorge
Depart from Marrakech via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains, passing scenic landscapes and Berber villages. Visit the UNESCO site Ait Benhaddou, known for its historic kasbahs and movie sets. Continue through Ouarzazate, Skoura palm groves, the Valley of Roses, and Tamnalt Hills to reach Dades Gorge for an overnight stay. (7 hrs journey)
- Day 2: Dades Valley - Rose Valley - Mountain Trek (7 hrs walk)
Begin your trek through the Tamassint Plateau (1884m) with the muleteer team, enjoying breathtaking views. Pass Ait M'Rao village (1800m) for lunch, cross the Mgoun Valley, and arrive at Isoummar village (2260m) for an overnight stay in a gite.
- Day 3: Issommar - Alamdoune (6 hrs walk)
After breakfast, cross the river and trek through high ridges and summits. Enjoy the lush greenery surrounding Alamdoune village (1734m) for an overnight stay in a gite.
- Day 4: Alamdoune - Boutaghrar (7 hrs walk)
Trek through another beautiful gorge and Berber villages. The valley flattens near the riverbanks, where you’ll see cultivated lands. Cross the river to reach Boutaghrar village (1600m) for an overnight stay in a gite.
- Day 5: Boutaghrar - Marrakech
Conclude your trek and depart for Marrakech, passing through the High Atlas Mountains and enjoying the scenic drive back. Arrival in Marrakech marks the end of your adventure.
